Implementation of Traffic Safety Street Activity “Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign”

Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held the "Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign" at the Hamanaka intersection in Asakuchi-gun, Okayama Prefecture on September 29th, as part of the Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign co-organized with the Tamashima Police Station and Kasaoka Police Station.



October 3th, 2022    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held the "Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign" at the Hamanaka intersection in Asakuchi-gun, Okayama Prefecture on September 29th, as part of the Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign co-organized with the Tamashima Police Station and Kasaoka Police Station.

The Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign aim to raise the public’s awareness of and habituate them to comply with traffic rules and etiquette and to eliminate road accidents. This was the first time the campaign was held in Okayama Prefecture. 150 Nashi pears were distributed to drivers, along with traffic safety goods and a wish of " Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi)" to appeal for traffic safety. Participants commented that it would improve traffic safety awareness such as “we hope to raise our own awareness of traffic safety as well as enlighten drivers “. We will continue our efforts to promote traffic safety awareness in cooperation with police stations and local authorities so as to decrease even one traffic accident.

Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013 to promote traffic safety awareness, hosting various traffic safety lectures in Elementary schools across Japan and carrying out educational activities to prevent traffic accidents. In addition, we support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing opportunities for students overseas studying Japanese to present the results of their studies and by holding a Japanese composition speech contest to raise traffic safety awareness and promote cultural exchange with Japan.
