Implementation of Traffic Safety Street Activity “Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign”

Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held the "Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign " at the Fukuyama Service Area on the Sanyo Expressway on September 28th, as part of the Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign, co-organized with the Hiroshima Prefectural Police Headquarters, Traffic Department, Highway Traffic Guard Unit.



September 29th, 2022    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held the "Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign " at the Fukuyama Service Area on the Sanyo Expressway on September 28th, as part of the Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign, co-organized with the Hiroshima Prefectural Police Headquarters, Traffic Department, Highway Traffic Guard Unit.

The Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign aim to raise the public’s awareness of and habituate them to comply with traffic rules and etiquette and to eliminate road accidents. In this activity, 200 Nashi pears were distributed to users of the service area, along with traffic safety goods and a wish for " Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi)" and an appeal for traffic safety. Users of the service area commented on how the campaign has improved their awareness of traffic safety, such as, "I will keep a sufficient distance between cars on the highway.

We will continue our efforts to promote traffic safety awareness in cooperation with police stations and local authorities so as to decrease even one traffic accident.

Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013 to promote traffic safety awareness, hosting various traffic safety lectures in Elementary schools across Japan and carrying out educational activities to prevent traffic accidents. In addition, we support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing opportunities for students overseas studying Japanese to present the results of their studies and by holding a Japanese composition speech contest to raise traffic safety awareness and promote cultural exchange with Japan.
