July 12th, 2019     Komaru Koutsu Foundation Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (President : Shigehiro Komaru, Chairman and C.E.O. of Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd.) donated a total of 300 books on the topic of traffic safety to six elementary schools and two compulsory education programs located in Fuchu city, Hiroshima, via Fuchu Meikyou Gakuen academy in Hiroshima. Komaru Koutsu Foundation was gifted a certificate of gratitude from the Board of Education of Fuchu City, Hiroshima.

Furthermore, on July 9th, a total of 380 books were donated to elementary schools in Sasaoka City, of Okayama prefecture. The board of Education of Sasaoka City gifted a certificate of gratitude to Komaru Koutsu Foundation for the 2nd annual donation. This year marks the first of many contributions to come from the foundation for Fuchu city.

Striving to create an accident free environment, the Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded in September 9th, 2013 to educate the youth about traffic safety rules, as well as promoting safe driving to the citizens of Japan. Their overseas cultural exchange program hosts Japanese speech contests that promote traffic safety awareness in their respective countries.

In order to realize the foundation's aspirations of promoting traffic awareness amongst the youth, a book titled "Nurture and educate the spirit of safety" was gifted to kids in the early elementary grades. President Komaru has personally contributed content, explaining how to cross the street and how to ride bicycles in an intuitive manner for the kids to easily understand. Furthermore, the parents/guardians were provided with seminars on how to educate their own children about traffic safety.
