On August 7th, the Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru,), the foundation affiliated with Fukuyama Transporting, presented a grant of 1 million yen to the Holocaust Memorial Museum (Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture) to support its activities to eliminate discrimination and prejudice and to convey peace to children who will lead the future for use in peace education activities
Mr. Shigehiro Komaru, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Fukuyama escorted the Ambassador of Lithuania to Japan Mr. Aurelijus Zykas and former Japanese Ambassador to Lithuania Mr. Toyoei Shigeeda, who attended the Peace Memorial Ceremony on August 6, to the museum and attended the presentation ceremony of Chariman of the Board of Directors of the Holocaust Memorial Museum Mr. Makoto Otsuka,.
We will continue our efforts to foster youth, promote education and culture, support peace education activities, and develop local communities.

The Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation was founded in June 1985 by the late Honorary Chairman Mr. Noboru Shibuya to support the education of children who are the bearers of the future. Since then, the organization has provided scholarship loans to high school and university students, supported educational institutions, local organizations promoting culture, and organizations engaged in sound upbringing of youth, and addressed the issue of children and students who have not been attending school. In addition, every year since 2013, we have invited elementary and junior high school students in Fukuyama City and other neighborhoods to a concert by the NHK Symphony Orchestra to support the cultivation of their rich sensibilities.
