December 26^th, 2022    Kitatohoku Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture; President: Teppei Kobayashi), a group company of Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru), concluded a "Cooperation Agreement in Transportation and Operation of Goods in the Event of a Disaster" with Morioka City (Iwate Prefecture) on December 20th. The agreement was signed by the Mayor of Morioka City, Mr. Hiroaki Tanifuji, and President Kobayashi.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish a solid foundation of an effective and prompt cooperative system in the event of a disaster and strengthen disaster response capabilities by transporting relief supplies to evacuation centers, assisting in the operation of supply base facilities, and providing our facilities as an emergency evacuation site.
The Fukuyama Transporting Group, a designated public institution, is engaged in support activities primarily on transporting goods in times of disaster. We will continue to contribute to the safety and security of the local community and fulfill its social responsibility as a truck fleet operator.
