Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and Kyoei Denki Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture; President: Shinobu Tanaka) agreed on March 1 to form a business alliance regarding the expansion of electrical installation work, etc. and to acquire 100% issued shares of Kyoei Denki Co., Ltd.
Fukuyama Transporting has been considering business expansion to electric equipment and telecommunications fields, though we are mainly engaged in freight transportation services. Since its establishment in April 1974, Kyoei Denki providing a wide range of electrical and pipe installation works from electrical substations, factories, stores, roads, schools, and other public facilities and residences.
By receiving know-how and information regarding the construction and operation of high-quality electrical and plumbing installation work from Kyoei Denki, Fukuyama Transporting aims to strengthen its electrical equipment construction business, which has potential prospects. Similarly, by utilizing Fukuyama Transporting's nationwide network, Kyoei Denki aims to expand its scale of the sales business area outside of Hyogo Prefecture, where they are mainly operating. Furthermore, to realize a sustainable society, we will fulfill our social responsibility as a trucking company in creating an environmentally friendly and prosperous society by strengthening our business in the field of renewable energy, such as the introduction of solar power generation equipment, to reduce our impact on the global environment.
