Implementation of Traffic Safety Street Activity “Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign”

Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held the "Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign " in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture on September 28th, as part of the Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign co-organized with the Hiroshima Prefectural Fukuyama Higashi Police Station and Fukuyama Higashi Traffic Safety Association. This was the sixth time the campaign was held in Fukuyama City.



September 29th, 2022    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held the "Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign " in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture on September 28th, as part of the Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign co-organized with the Hiroshima Prefectural Fukuyama Higashi Police Station and Fukuyama Higashi Traffic Safety Association. This was the sixth time the campaign was held in Fukuyama City.

The Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign aim to raise the public’s awareness of and habituate them to comply with traffic rules and etiquette and to eliminate road accidents. In this street campaign, 200 Nashi pears were handed out to the drivers, along with traffic safety goods and a wish for " Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi)" to appeal for traffic safety. We will continue our efforts to promote traffic safety awareness in cooperation with police stations and local authorities so as to decrease even one traffic accident.

Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013 to promote traffic safety awareness, hosting various traffic safety lectures in Elementary schools across Japan and carrying out educational activities to prevent traffic accidents. In addition, we support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing opportunities for students overseas studying Japanese to present the results of their studies and by holding a Japanese composition speech contest to raise traffic safety awareness and promote cultural exchange with Japan.
