Implementation of Traffic Safety Class

The students learned about traffic accident prevention at intersections and crosswalks by experiencing the characteristics and dangers.

October 27th, 2021    Fukuyama Transporting Co., LTD. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (President: Shigehiro Komaru) held a traffic safety class on trucks for 119 students of first-grade at Oku senior high school in Okayama Prefecture on October 26.

Since riding a bicycle without following the rules and manners can lead to a serious traffic accident, the class used an actual truck to experience the characteristics and dangers of bicycles in order for the students to learn the correct rules and use bicycles safely. The students learned about traffic accident prevention at intersections and crosswalks by experiencing the characteristics and dangers. The students commented that they would cross safely at intersections while being aware of the truck's inside wheel gap and blind spots.

Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013 to promote traffic safety awareness, hosting various traffic safety lectures in Elementary schools across Japan and carrying out educational activities to prevent traffic accidents. Furthermore, a Japanese composition speech contest is being held in oversea to provide opportunities for presenting Japanese language education, experience cultural exchange and spreads awareness of traffic safety.
