Traffic Safety Campaign "2018 No Accident Campaign" Held in the Streets of Tokyo

This has been an annual event at Fukuyama Transporting since 2013, making this year the 6th event.



September 19th, 2018    In light of the "Nationwide Autumn Traffic Safety Awareness Week" held on September 21st - 30th, Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Headquarter: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President : Shigehiro Komaru; shortened as Fukuyama Transporting) and Komaru Koutsu Foundation (President : Noriyuki Komaru, Chairman and C.E.O. of Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd.) promoted their "2018 No Accident Campaign" at the intersection of Tokyo Branch, located at Ecchujima, Koto-Ku, Tokyo. This campaign was a collaboration with Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Fukagawa precinct and Tokyo Metropolitan Third Commercial High School.

The purpose of "Nationwide Autumn Traffic Safety Awareness Week" is to prevent traffic accidents by spreading awareness regarding road safety to the citizens of Japan, and promote compliance to safety rules and traffic manners. As part of the aforementioned activity, Fukuyama Transporting has been passing out leaflets regarding traffic accident prevention with a pear with the wish to one day have "No Accidents" (Pear in Japanese is 'Nashi', which in separate context can also mean 'None'). This has been an annual event at Fukuyama Transporting since 2013, making this year the 6th event.

This year, President Komaru, directors, and employees, as well as Tokyo Metropolitan Police of Fukagawa precinct and students of Tokyo Metropolitan Third Commercial High School handed out traffic accident prevention leaflets and 500 pears on the streets of Tokyo.

Furthermore, this street activity is to be held in Osaka on the 21st, and at Fukuyama on the 28th.
