December 17^th, 2020    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Shigehiro Komaru) received an award from the Director of the Chugoku Transport & Tourism Bureau for his achievements in environmental conservation efforts. This company started operating the dedicated freight train "Fukuyama Rail Express" in 2013, and now they are adopting a modal shift from truck transportation to rail container transportation between Tokyo and Osaka, Tokyo and Okayama and Fukuyama, also between Nagoya and Fukuoka. In addition, we received this award for our efforts to improve transportation efficiency and continuously reduce CO2 emissions, such as developing and introducing the first double-coupled truck with a vehicle length of 25 m in Japan from 2017.

We will continue to promote transportation efficiency through modal shift and so on to reduce the environmental burden, and work to realize a sustainable society.
