December 13^th, 2022    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Fukuyama Transporting Komaru Environmental Foundation (Location: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held a tree-planting ceremony on December 8th in Sabah Malaysia. Acacia hybrid saplings were planted as a part of environmental conservation activities under the SDGs. This plantation was our first time overseas, though having rose saplings planted at 5 locations in Japan so far. Lightweight, high strength, and yet contains less tree sap are the characteristics of Acacia hybrid lumber, which has been making good use as truck floorboards. Through tree-planting activities, we will actively work to contribute to local communities and address environmental issues, aiming for safe, secure, and sustainable growth.
The Fukuyama Transporting Komaru Environmental Foundation was established on November 20th, 2020, aiming to realize a sustainable society by conducting environmental conservation and education projects. The Foundation supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by carrying out activities related to environmental education, such as tree planting and other conservation activities in Japan and overseas, along with environmental education in cooperation with universities and specialized institutions.
