The Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation

The Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation was founded in June of 1985, when honorary president Noboru Shibuya, founder of Fukuyama Transporting, donated personal property to support children's education. From there, Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation began efforts to address the problem of out-of-school students, and has since expanded its outreach. Support ranges from lending scholarships to high school and university students, to supporting educational and cultural institutions. The Shibuya Ikuei Foundation aims to provide assistance and subsidies to educational institutions and community groups which conduct cultural promotion and activities that contribute to the healthy upbringing of the youth.

In May 1996, the foundation began 'Educational programs to bring up a strong child.' Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation provides guidance via interview and telephone consultation to out-of-school students and looks to find solutions regarding the problems of children's bullying and truancy in Hiroshima prefecture.
