December 19^th, 2022    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) concluded a "Cooperation Agreement in Transportation and Operation of Goods in the Event of a Disaster" with Setouchi City (Okayama Prefecture) on December 15th. The agreement was signed by the Mayor of Setouchi City, Mr. Akinari Takehisa, and the General Manager of Chugoku/Shikoku region, Yasushi Kobayashi.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish an effective and prompt cooperative system in the event of a disaster and to strengthen disaster response capabilities by transporting relief supplies to evacuation centers, assisting in the operation of supply base facilities, and providing our facilities as an emergency evacuation site.
The Fukuyama Transporting Group, a designated public institution, is engaged in support activities primarily on transporting goods in times of disaster. We will continue to contribute to the safety and security of the local community and fulfill its social responsibility as a truck fleet operator.
