The Traffic Safety Class

Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation conducted a traffic safety seminar for 118 second graders at Fuchu Municipal Dai-ichi Junior High School in Hiroshima Prefecture on November 21.

November 21th, 2025    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; Chairman: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) conducted a traffic safety seminar for 118 second graders at Fuchu Municipal Dai-ichi Junior High School in Hiroshima Prefecture on November 21.

Held at the school’s request, the seminar focused on interactive learning to help students understand essential traffic rules and safe bicycling practices. Through practical exercises such as analyzing dashcam footage and using a bicycle simulator, students enhanced their hazard perception and awareness of traffic risks. Following the session, they became more aware of safety measures and were reminded of the importance of pausing to ensure their safety before crossing intersections.
We will continue working closely with local police and community organizations to provide ongoing education and help prevent future traffic accidents involving children.

The Komaru Koutsu Foundation, established on September 9, 2013, is dedicated to promoting traffic safety and accident prevention. The foundation conducts educational programs in schools across Japan and promotes road safety through various initiatives. Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the foundation also provides platforms for overseas students studying Japanese to present their learning, and hosts Japanese composition and speech contests to raise awareness of traffic safety and foster cultural exchange.
