Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Public Interest Incorporated Komaru Kotsu Foundation (Chairman: Shigehiro Komaru, hereinafter referred to as the Komaru Kotsu Foundation) held a traffic safety class for trucks at Okayama Seto High School on February 17.
In this traffic safety class, they explained the characteristics of trucks such as difference between track followed by front and back inner wheels when turning and blind spots using actual trucks for 35 third-year students who are employee candidates. Also, they discussed points to be cautioned from the each perspective of truck and bicycle in the lecture using the video of the drive recorder.
Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013 to promote traffic safety awareness, hosting various traffic safety lectures in Elementary schools across Japan and carrying out educational activities to prevent traffic accidents. Furthermore, a Japanese composition speech contest is being held in oversea to provide opportunities for presenting Japanese language education, experience cultural exchange and spreads awareness of traffic safety.
