November 14^th, 2024    The Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru), an organization related to Fukuyama Transporting Co. Ltd., donated two motorcycles to the Hiroshima Prefectural Police Headquarters on November 14th. This donation is intended to help police officers gather information during rescue operations and enhance their riding skills in preparation for large-scale disasters. This marks the second donation from the foundation, following a previous contribution of ten motorcycles for disaster relief activities in 2003.

At the ceremony, Chief Director Komaru handed a certificate indicating an impending gift to Mr. Takuji Norikane, the Chief of the Hiroshima Prefectural Police Headquarters. Mr. Norikane expressed his gratitude by presenting a letter of appreciation, acknowledging the foundation's strong support. The foundation is dedicated to continuing its assistance during any disaster.

The Shibuya Ikueikai Foundation was established in June 1985 to support child education. Since then, the foundation has been working on a scholarship project for high school and university students, support for educational institutions, community groups that promote culture, local authorities that conduct healthy upbringing activities for youth, and children and students unable to attend school. Furthermore, to nurture rich sensibilities, we have invited elementary and junior high school students around Fukuyama City every year to hold concerts by the NHK Symphony Orchestra since 2013.
