October 17^th, 2023    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) made a friendly visit to the Republic of Lithuania on October 11 to 16, on its first direct chartered flight from Haneda Airport along with a total of 202 participants, including excellent drivers and their families, who have been contributing to the company over many years without any accidents and traffic violations. This visit to the Republic of Lithuania by direct chartered airplane is the third time.

Accompanied by Dr. Aurelijus Zykas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Japan, and former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Lithuania Mr. Toyoei Shigeeda, the delegation visited the Embassy of Japan in Lithuania and Sugihara House. They also paid a courtesy visit to UAB Hoptrans Logistics (Headquarter: The Republic of Lithuania), our business partner since August 2018, to fortify their business foundation by exchanging information regarding logistics and IT.

Participated excellent drivers were with the company for approx. 20-40 years without accidents and traffic violations, selected from 13 Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. districts and 15 associated companies.

Since becoming Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Fukuyama in January 2017 and Honorary Consul General in February 2021, President Komaru has endeavored to have friendly relations between Lithuania and Japan. Through such projects as a friendship visit to Lithuania on Japan's first direct flight by chartered airplane in February 2020, he will continue to promote friendship and goodwill between the two countries in exchanging cultural, academic, and economic fields.
