Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) received an award from the Director-General of the Kinki District Transport Bureau on September 9th in recognition of its environmental conservation efforts in its freight and passenger consolidation business with Kintetsu Railway Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Mr. Takashi Tsuji).
The both companies have been engaged in a freight-passenger consolidation business by rail using the vacant space on Kintetsu Limited Express/Meihan Express "Urban Liner," which will operate between Osaka Namba and Kintetsu Nagoya starting in July 2021.
The award was given in recognition of this initiative's contribution to alleviating driver shortages, improving transportation efficiency, and reducing CO2 emissions.
We will continue to promote the creation of efficient transportation forms, reduce our environmental impact, and work toward the realization of a sustainable society.
