Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Shigehiro Komaru) and Komaru-Koutsu Foundation (Chairman: Shigehiro Komaru) held a traffic safety class on trucks for 59 students on November 19th at Niiyama Elementary School in Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture.
Since there is a lot of truck traffic on National Route 2 and trunk roads in Kasaoka City, they explained the features and precautions when the trucks in motion. Also they provided experience the characteristics and dangers of actual trucks and to learn about traffic accident prevention at intersections and pedestrian crossings.
Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013 to promote traffic safety awareness, hosting various traffic safety lectures in Elementary, Junior High and High schools across Japan, as well as handing out traffic accident prevention leaflets on the street. Furthermore, a Japanese composition speech contest is being held in oversea to provide opportunities for presenting Japanese language education, experience cultural exchange and spreads awareness of traffic safety.
