November 25^th, 2022    Mr. Shigehiro Komaru, President of Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd., visited the Republic of Lithuania from November 21 to 22, 2022, and discuss the development of friendly exchange between Japan and the Republic of Lithuania with Ms. Ingrida ?imonyt?, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, and Dalia Tamo?i?nien?, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Lithuania. Mr. Tetsu Ozaki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Japan in Lithuania, and Mr. Toyoei Shigeeda, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Japan in Lithuania, were present at the meeting. They reported on exchange activities conducted thus far and shared opinions on the implementation of exchange events for the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Lithuania and Japan this year.
President of our company Mr. Shigehiro Komaru was appointed as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Fukuyama in January 2017 and Honorary Consul General in February 2021. Through such projects as a goodwill visit to Lithuania on Japan's first direct flight by chartered airplane, he is promoting cultural and academic exchanges in addition to the economic field. We will continue to promote friendship and goodwill between the two countries in economy, culture, and education.
