Donations of traffic safety books "Growing and Learning"

The message was "Let's Raise and Learn, the Heart of Safety".



September 19th, 2020    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President: Shigehiro Komaru) and Shigehiro Komaru Foundation (Chairman: Shigehiro Komaru, hereinafter referred to as Komaru Transportation Foundation) announced on September 18 in Hiroshima Prefecture. At the Kita Hiroshima Town Hall and Akiota Town Hall in Yamaken-gun, the two found authors jointly donated 1,100 traffic safety textbooks, to each student from 13 elementary schools in Yamaken-gun. The message was "Let's Raise and Learn, the Heart of Safety".

In addition, a letter of appreciation was given by the Yamagata Police Station for recognition of activities held to implement traffic safety through the donating traffic safety textbooks.

This textbook provides children with easy-to-understand instructions on how to crossroads and how to ride a bicycle. It also provides a co-educating aspect with an explanation to parents on how to educate children on traffic safety.

The Komaru Traffic Safety Foundation was founded on September 9, 2013 for the purpose of promoting and enlightening the idea of traffic safety. Amongst its campaigns, it holds traffic safety classes centered on elementary schools nationwide and conducts enlightenment activities to prevent traffic accidents. The foundation also provides opportunities for students studying Japanese overseas to present their learning achievements and holds a Japanese speech contest for the purpose of raising traffic safety awareness and cultural exchange with Japan.
