February 12^th, 2025    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) held the completion ceremony to install automatic sorting machines at the Ibaraki Goka Branch on February 12th.

The Ibaraki Goka Branch began operations in July 2024, serving as a logistics hub that connects the Tokyo metropolitan area with the Tohoku region. The location is within a 3-minute drive to Ken-o Expressway Goka IC and 50km from central Tokyo.
The newly installed state-of-the-art cross-belt sorter features a four-stage telescopic conveyor. It can process approximately 12,000 packages per hour with high speed and accuracy. Additionally, it has a gravimetric conveyor that measures the weight and size of the cargo, allowing for optimal sorting based on these dimensions. These enhancements significantly improve accuracy and efficiency.
Furthermore, the height of the telescopic conveyor is adjustable to accommodate trucks and workers. This flexibility reduces physical strain during unloading, enhancing work efficiency and safety.
