October 8^th, 2021    Fukuyama Transporting Co., LTD. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and the Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) held a traffic safety class on trucks for 83 students of first and second-grade at Kurashiki Municipal Dai-5 Fukuda Elementary School in Okayama Prefecture on October 7.

The Dai-5 Fukuda Elementary School is located on a main road with heavy truck traffic, and at the request of the Mizushima Police Station in Okayama Prefecture, which wanted to prevent traffic accidents involving large vehicles, the students learned about preventing traffic accidents at intersections and crosswalks by experiencing the characteristics and dangers of trucks using actual trucks. The children commented that they would not play around the truck because there were many parts invisible from the driver's seat.

Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013 to promote traffic safety awareness, hosting various traffic safety lectures in Elementary schools across Japan and carrying out educational activities to prevent traffic accidents. Furthermore, a Japanese composition speech contest is being held in oversea to provide opportunities for presenting Japanese language education, experience cultural exchange and spreads awareness of traffic safety.
