Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) made a goodwill visit to The Republic of Lithuania on November 18-23, 2022, on its second direct chartered flight along with a total of 168 participants, including excellent drivers and their families, who have made great contributions to the company over many years without any accidents or traffic violations.
The delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Lithuania to Japan Mr. Aurelijus Zykas, and former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Japan in Lithuania Mr. Toyoei Shigeeda, and visited the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Lithuania and the Embassy of Japan in Lithuania. In addition to paying a courtesy visit to UAB Hoptrans Logistics (Headquarter: The Republic of Lithuania), our business partner since August 2018, strengthened the business foundations of both companies in logistics and IT services.
Participated excellent drivers were with the company for approx. 10-41 years with no accidents or traffic violations and selected from 13 districts of Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. and 15 associated companies.
President of our company Mr. Shigehiro Komaru was appointed as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Fukuyama in January 2017 and Honorary Consul General in February 2021. Through such projects as a goodwill visit to Lithuania on Japan's first direct flight by chartered airplane, he is promoting cultural and academic exchanges in addition to the economic field. We will continue to promote friendship and goodwill between the two countries in economy, culture, and education.
