The "Arima Award" was established in 1981 to commemorate the late Daigoro Arima, former Vice President of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, for his contribution to the music world and his great achievement in fostering the NHK Symphony Orchestra for many years. The award is presented to those who have made outstanding achievement in the advancement of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, related organizations, and NHK Symphony Orchestra employees. Daigoro Arima has been in frequent contact with European musicians since before the Second World War II, and has made efforts to invite famous artists to Japan. He was active in the early days of the Japanese music world and laid the foundation for the current music industry.
The Shibuya Ikueikai was founded in June 1985 by the late Honorary Chairman Noboru Shibuya, the founder of our company, to support the education of the children who will carry the future. Since then, it has been lending scholarships to high school and university students, providing support to educational institutions, local organizations that promote culture, and groups that engage in activities for the health development of young people, as well as addressing the issue of children who do not attend school.
