October 26^th, 2022    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) concluded a "Cooperation Agreement in Transportation and Operation of Goods in the Event of a Disaster" with Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, on October 20th. The agreement was signed by Mayor of Onomichi City, Mr. Yukou Hiratani, and General Manager of Chushikoku Regional Management Department of Fukuyama Transporting, Mr. Yasushi Kobayashi.
The purpose of this agreement is to strengthen disaster response capabilities by transporting relief supplies to evacuation centers and assisting in the operation of supply base facilities, with the aim of quickly establishing an effective cooperative system in the event of a disaster.
The Fukuyama Transporting Group, as a designated public institution, is engaged in support activities mainly for the transportation of goods in times of disaster, and will continue to contribute to the safety and security of the region and fulfill its social responsibility as a truck operator.
