August 10^th, 2022    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Fukuyama City, Mr. Naoki Edahiro with t the Ambassador of Lithuania to Japan Mr. Aurelijus Zykas on August 8th. He reported on the exchange activities he has conducted with the Republic of Lithuania and exchanged views on the implementation of events with Fukuyama City to commemorate the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Lithuania and Japan this year. We will continue our efforts to further deepen mutual understanding and strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.

President of our company, Mr. Shigehiro Komaru was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Fukuyama in January 2017, and was appointed Honorary Consul General in February 2021. He has made efforts to promote friendship and goodwill through economic, cultural, educational, and other activities with both countries, including a goodwill visit to the Republic of Lithuania on Japan's first direct flight by chartered aircraft. On August 12th, 2018, Fukuyama Transporting entered into a business alliance with HOPTRANS in Lithuania to promote cultural and academic exchanges in addition to the economic field.
