Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) held a ground-breaking ceremony on 13th July for the Yachiyo Distribution Centre (tentative name: to be completed in September 2023).
The distribution center will be a logistics terminal that combines pick-up and delivery operations with distribution processing and also storage operations. It is located approximately 9 km from the Chiba Kita Interchange on the Higashi Kanto Expressway and is adjacent to National Route 16, which connects to the main arterial roads in the Tokyo metropolitan area, providing excellent access to the entire Kanto region. In addition, Yachiyo City is considered a low-risk area for disasters in hazard maps, making it an optimal logistics base from a disaster-prevention perspective. Furthermore, in order to increase work efficiency and reduce manpower, the company is promoting the creation of a comfortable working environment through the enhancement of material handling equipment, including automatic cargo sorting equipment.
The company will continue to provide more detailed logistics services to meet the diversifying needs of customers.
