September 20^th, 2024    Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Komaru Koutsu Foundation (Chief Director: Shigehiro Komaru) conducted "Traffic Accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) Campaign" at the square in front of Nodahanshin station in Fukushima-ku, Osaka City on September 20th. This event was part of the Autumn Nationwide Traffic Safety Campaign and was co-organized with Osaka Prefectural Fukushima Police Station and Fukushima Traffic Safety Association. It was the 7th implementation in Osaka City.

The Autumn Nationwide Traffic Safety Campaign aims to raise public awareness of traffic safety and prevent accidents by promoting proper compliance with traffic safety rules and manners. We distributed 200 Nashi pears and traffic safety goods to commuters, wishing them a safe and accident-free (Jiko-Nashi) society.

To reduce the number of future traffic accidents, we will continue providing traffic safety education and raising awareness in collaboration with police stations and local authorities.

The Komaru Koutsu Foundation was founded on September 9th, 2013, to promote traffic safety and prevent accidents. The foundation conducts various traffic safety lectures in schools throughout Japan and engages in educational activities to promote road safety. Additionally, the foundation supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing opportunities for students studying Japanese overseas to present the results of their studies. They also organize Japanese composition speech contests to raise traffic safety awareness and encourage cultural exchange with Japan.
