Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) and NANIWA transportation Co. Ltd. (Head office: Nishi-ku, Osaka City; President: Hirotaka Azuma) agreed to form a business alliance on November 8.
NANIWA transportation has a strong network in the fashion industry and a competitive advantage in on-hanger transportation. Since running Japan’s first vehicle for on-hanger transportation in 1968, they have been engaging in fashion distribution services such as joint on-hanger transportation to mass market retailers and centerless delivery to department stores.
Contoured by the 2024 issue, the logistics industry faces various problems of a chronic labor shortage, soaring fuel prices, and restriction of overtime work for drivers. To solve those difficulties, Fukuyama Transporting and NANIWA transportation have been discussing how to offer stabilized logistics services.
With this cooperation, we aim to strengthen partnerships in joint transportation and delivery operations. By improving loading efficiency and reducing environmental impact, we fulfill our social responsibilities for creating an environmentally friendly society as truck operators. We will realize productive and efficient logistic services to save drivers’ operating hours by sharing logistics bases. In the future, we expect to further strengthen the business foundations of both companies through exchanges of human resources.
