Donation to the Fukuyama Castle 400th Anniversary Project

The donation ceremony was held in the presence of the Mayor of Fukuyama City, Mr. Naoki Edahiro, and President Komaru at Fukuju Kaikan (Marunouchi, Fukuyama City).



October 27th, 2021    Fukuyama Transporting Co., LTD. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru; hereinafter "Fukuyama Transporting") has informed Fukuyama City of its intention to donate 500 million yen to the renovation project for Fukuyama Castle Museum exhibition to promote the 400th anniversary of the construction of Fukuyama Castle.

This "Autumn Nationwide" traffic campaign is co-sponsored by the Fukagawa Police Station and the Fukagawa Traffic Safety Association. The duration is from September 21st to 30th. Prior to this "Traffic Safety Campaign", the Tokyo Metropolitan Sansho-mae intersection in front of the Tokyo branch in Etchujima, Koto-ku, was held on September 16th. At the previous traffic campaign there was a "2020 Accident-Free". Traffic safety campaign street activity. The "Autumn National Traffic Safety Campaign" aims to spread and spread the idea of traffic safety to the general public for safe traffic measures. The goal is to create a habit to follow the rules and practice proper traffic manners, to thoroughly prevent traffic accidents. Fukuyama Transporting has been conducting the "Autumn National Road Safety Campaign" every year since 2013. Formal wishes for "no traffic accidents" are included in a leaflet to prevent traffic accidents for commuters and students. Fukuyama Transporting is also conducting street activities, where "nashi" pears are distributed. Nashi has a double meaning. "Pear" and "eliminate" It is a creative way to "eliminate" traffic accidents, with the distribution of pears. This is the 8th year of the "nashi pear" traffic safety campaign.

The donation is for the renovation project of Fukuyama Castle Museum's exhibition (complete renewal) in support of the efforts to convey the value and charm of Fukuyama Castle to future generations, also to contribute to the promotion of education and culture.

Up to now, Fukuyama Transporting has supported and cooperated with Fukuyama City by donating to the Fukujyu Kaikan, Fukuyama City Large-Scale Project Fund, Fukuyama City University for the improvement and enhancement of its library, as well as donating non-woven masks for children and electric fans for elementary and junior high schools.

We would like to express our gratitude to all those who support us in Fukuyama, the place where we were founded, and we will continue our efforts to promote education and culture for the next generation as well as to contribute to society through the development of local communities.
